This year the bio-digester group are working on using a bio-digester; a structure that converts organic matter (bio- degradable waste) into energy in the absence of oxygen which can be used for cooking.
The bio-gas team both comprises of the male and the female. They are 18 boys, 19 girls and which were 37 in total.
The student for the bio-gas were shared into three groups which were group A, group B, group C.
The group A are basically for observation and function of various part of the bio-digester They state where the various part are located.
And the group B are for the construction of the component which are the equipments.
The group C objective was to bring all the component constructed by the group A to form the bio-digester.

DAY 1
On the first day,the team did a form of introduction, that is getting to know their selves. The course was introduced and explained to them by their facilitator Mr. Collins.

DAY 2
The different groups started their construction, but at the end of the day only the group A and group B were able to finish the bio-digester.
DAY 3
The last group which is group C assembled the bio-digester and decorated it,while the group A provided organic matter to feed the bio-digester. The provision of organic matter is still going on because the bio-digester needs to be filled and the other group are still decorating the bio-digester.

DAY 4
The group C continue the design, group B went ahead to help the plastic team to finish their project work and the group A pounded the organic matter into organic paste.
THE BENEFIT OF SOME STUDENTS FROM THE PROJECT
EDAH PRINCELEY: It has helped me to socialise with other people.
USIFOH MEHNRIOBOSE: It has helped me to relate with people with different personality.
JANET .O. BUNYAN: It has enabled me use waste product for useful purposes.
CHALLENGES FACED BY THE BIO DIGESTER TEAM
Most of the student lacked welding skills required to put the bio-digester together.
The students at the summer school were from different schools and they found it a little bit difficult to work together and co-operate but they find a way to work out together later on.
